Today we celebrated Dr. Seuss Day! We discussed the life of Theodore Seuss Geisel and how he liked writing books using sight words and rhymes. We then watched TWO video books (Mrs. Pitts and I had to pass out all the items we needed to make our cool hats haha), The Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham. Here are the video books the students watched and then... our slideshow of the cutest Doctors and Things that you'll ever see!!!
The students did great writing words for the -at family and the -ing family. Unfortunately due to time constraints, the students were only able to paint the cutout they planned on wearing. So, enjoying coloring or painting the other one at home. :) ooh make sure to ask your child to read the words... our class is getting REAL GOOD at using their sounds to read. They impress us every day!! :)
Enjoy!
