Math
Our principal, Mrs. Knott joined us twice in the past 2 weeks for math time observations. She was very impressed with the class and how much they are learning about addition and subtraction. The class was excited to show her how clever they are with their work. We continue to compose and decompose numbers 9 and 10 this week focusing on story problems. Also we will practice our fluency math facts through 5.
Flamingos
In the upcoming months our class will be learning more about the continent of Africa. Each class in the school has an "adopted" zoo animal we focus on from the continent of study. Our animal is the flamingo. This week we will learn about the flamingo, write about the flamingo and even make a cute flamingo craft. I am sure Ms. Finocchiaro will add our flamingo family to the blog in the weeks to come for you to enjoy!
